The striking tall ship Stavros S Niarchos will be sailing into Dublin Port for a brief visit this Friday. And if you’ve got a spare £3.5 million it could be yours by month’s end.

The brig, a two-masted square-rigged ship, was completed in 2000 and has been operated by the Tall Ships Youth Trust as a sail training vessel for young people for 17 years.

As part of the Trust’s modernisation plans the ship will soon be going under the hammer. The tall ship will be going up for auction to make way for a smaller schooner which they say will be more cost effective and better able to serve the programme objectives of the organisation.
The ship going up for auction through CW Kellock & Co and bidding starts on the 20th August but if you have a handy £3.5 million lying around you can buy it now!
If you don’t quite have the pocket change to buy the ship you can catch a glimpse of this beauty sailing in port on Friday. The ship is due to depart Saturday evening.
