Obair Chrua – Images from the Island | Galway City Museum, Saturday 9th December

This Saturday 9th December in the Galway City Museum there will be a very interesting illustrative talk and photographs from Dublin photographer Joe Sterling.

For the last quarter of a century Dublin photographer Joe Sterling has been capturing life on Inis Mhic Cionaith (Inchamakinna), a small isolated island off Connemara where the sea and the Irish language remain central to the community.

Joe is a photography lecturer at Sallynoggin College of Further Education and he will share his evocative photographs and stories at Galway City Museum. The talk is free and will take place in the museum from 2.30 – 4pm on Saturday 9th December.
