There is still uncertainty of the exact track and evolution of the storm, but storm force winds, heavy rain and high seas are threatened. Met Éireann will continue to monitor this storm and will issue updates over the next few days.

In light of the weather warning the Irish Coast Guard are strongly advising the public not to go on exposed coasts, cliffs, piers, harbour walls, beaches, promenades or any other coastal areas during the inclement weather.

If you see someone get into trouble call 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.

Always stay safe by the coast!
