Weird and wonderful objects often wash up on the Irish coast – but this latest object to wash up has left Tory islanders stumped.

The picture of the giant metal object was shared by islander Peter Rodgers as reported by Donegal Now.
The metal object is over 40 feet long and Rodgers says no one on the island has a clue what it is. “There’s some kinda connection at the opposite side for water or air, for sinking or raising I’d imagine. It would be a good pontoon but there’s a couple holes in it, its fairly old anyway.” he added.
