From Land to Sea – Fly Your Flag at Dún Laoghaire Harbour

Dlr  County Council have extended this great opportunity for young people to get creative and make a flag to fly on one of the boats of Dun Laoghaire harbour. Fly Your Flag initiative was launched earlier this summer and they’ve now extended the date for people to get creative and send in their entries.

DLR is looking for people to tell their story about Covid-19, lockdown, what we have lost, what we have gained, and your hopes for the future and design it into a flag. The flag will then be flown with pride on one of the hundreds of boats in Dún Laoghaire Harbour at the end of the summer or when we can safely celebrate together. Check out their tips on how to create your flag here.

The Community Section has a limited number of blank flags which you can avail of. If you wish to receive a flag so you can add you design telling your Covid story, please contact Community Section on 01 2054893 or extension number 3402.

Fill in your submission form and drop your flag C/O Sandra Kelly, Community Department, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire.

Closing date is now the end of summer.
