Dalkey Lobster Festival returns this weekend (24th – 26th August) with a celebration of Irish seafood and an exciting programme of fun events and spectacular musical performances.
The backdrop to the festival is the picturesque heritage town of Dalkey which is known for its high-quality restaurants and excellent food so rest assured the seafood on offer will be top notch!
Throughout the weekend there will be plenty of music for all tastes in the pubs and restaurants around the village. This year’s lineup includes the fantastic Mac Fleetwood and the Camembert Quartet. Visit their Facebook page to get a full lineup.
You can’t have a seafood festival without seafood so naturally the streets will be lined with marquees offering some of the best local produce tantalizing lobster, prawns crab claws and more. There will be a number of other great events and activities including stories of fish food and Craic in Biddy’s cottage, Art Expo at Dalkey Castle and BIM talking sustainable fishing.
For the kids, there will be lots of family fun entertainment including the Exploration Dome, storytelling with the Little Mermaid, Jays Flea Circus and Rugby Simulator.
