It’s on this Weekend! Dalkey Lobster Festival 2017

Dalkey Lobster Festival returns this weekend (24th – 27th August) with their always excellent mix of delicious lobster, crab & all that jazz!

The backdrop to the festival is the picturesque heritage town of Dalkey which is known for its high-quality restaurants and excellent food so rest assured the seafood on offer will be top notch! 

The festival will open Thursday evening with a flurry of musical entertainment in Dalkey Parish Church with an opening concert featuring Liam O Maonlai (Hot House Flowers), Lisa Lambe and Simon Morgan (The Thomas Moore Project). Throughout the weekend there will be plenty of music for all tastes in the pubs and restaurants around the village. You can’t have a seafood festival without seafood so naturally the streets will be lined with marquees offering some of the best local produce tantalizing lobster, prawns crab claws and more.



For the kids there will be a Kids Zone and family fun street entertainment. You can also learn about marine litter and how to reduce, reuse and recycle with BIM, Ireland’s Seafood Development Agency. They will be there talking about their great initiatives like Fishing for Litter, net recycling and promoting sustainability.

The Dalkey Lobster Festival is the perfect fusion of the best local food, top jazz acts and great entertainment. It’s one of the major highlights of the seafood calendar so if you’re around Dublin this weekend don’t miss out!
