Know any ocean heroes? Clean Coast are looking for nominations for their annual Ocean Hero awards.

For over 10 years Clean Coasts has been celebrating the people and groups who make our coast a better place with the Ocean Hero Awards. These awards honour those who invaluably contribute to conserving and protecting our wonderful coastline.
They are looking for the public to nominate volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to Ireland’s coastal environment. There are six categories: Group of the Year, Individual of the Year, School of the Year, Business of the Year, Idea of the Year and Beach Clean of the Year.
Since it first started the Clean Coast programme has grown and now well over 550 Clean Coast groups around the country are making a difference cleaning and preserving our precious coastlines.
If your local Clean Coast group or school or business deserves to be called an Ocean Hero log on to the Clean Coasts website and nominate them for an award! Nominations are open until the 20th October.
