Search at Galway docks called off after young man found safe and well

The search for a young man suspected of entering the water at Galway Docks this morning has been called off after the man was found safe and well.

The Shannon rescue helicopter R115 and the Galway RNLI lifeboat were tasked to search Galway Docks around 7.30am after they received reports that a young man had entered the water.





The teams were joined in the search by units of the city fire and ambulance service.

Gardaí have since called off the search confirming that the young man found safe and well.
