RNLI Waves Music Festival, Wexford –  This weekend (28th August)

The Waves Music Festival is the perfect family day out with and all for a great cause. The festival takes place on the Hook Peninsula in the gardens of the beautiful historic Loftus Hall, Ireland’s most haunted house. All musical tastes will be catered for and so far the confirmed artists are Hometown, Nathan Carter, Corner Boy and Elmore.

The festival will be a great fun day out with music and entertainment with a children’s play area. It’s also all in aid of a fantastic cause. The RNLI are a charity that provides a vital service around the coast and save numerous lives each year. For ten years the Fethard RNLI has been serving the community and this event marks the launch of an 18 month drive to raise funds for a much needed new inshore lifeboat.

Their current lifeboat Trade Winds is near the end of it’s service, it’s been in operation for nearly ten years and is due to retire next year. In it’s lifetime its been launched 119 times rescuing 85 people. This fundraising drive is vital to get the €65,000 needed for the new D class lifeboat.

The festival is on 28th of August so get out there and show your support. Tickets for the event are €25 and €85 for a family of four.
