An interesting new maritime festival gets underway in Tramore, Waterford, this weekend (23rd-25th September), and it certainly look like it will be fun!
This festival will showcase the best of local businesses and community as it further develops both recent and traditional celebration of “Michaelmas” and “Molly the seaweed doll” that Tramore has celebrated in recent years and in times gone by.
The Festival will launch on Friday evening at 7pm at the Coastguard Station in Tramore and events will continue throughout the town on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a variety of family fun events happening over the weekend with activities to suit all ages.
All of the events are outdoor such as The Rex Factor Dog Show, music stage and VW exhibition with further plans to include rescue services, maritime heritage talks and art exhibition and more to be confirmed.
