Get hooked: Hookfest & Irish national kitesurfing championships 2016

The Hooked Kitefest and Irish National Kitesurfing Championships returns to Duncannon Beach on the 13th and 14th of August. The competition will attract top competitors from around the globe to compete in a series of freestyle events and course racing. The spectators will watch one as the competitors in men’s, women’s, and unisex under-18s categories battle it out to take home the prize. They will be judge by by president and vice-president of the Irish Kitesurfing Association, Warren Vance and Niall Roche, who organised the event and recently open a new water sports centre in Duncannon.

The two day event will also be host to the Hooked Kitefest which will offer a load of free family fun and entertainment on the beach. There will be plenty of activities to keep the young ones busy with zorbing, archery, face painting, beach volleyball, festival BBQ, beach party, live music and lots more.
