This Sunday visit the lifesavers: Dun Laoghaire RNLI welcome visitors

The Dun Laoghaire  RNLI are having their annual open day on Sunday 4th September. This family fun day is a great opportunity to come out and support your local RNLI and meet the crew and volunteers who do amazing work saving lives in the community.

The open day will include tours of the station and the lifeboats, which is always a treat to have a look around. The RNLI Sea Safety Roadshow will be there giving tips and advice at how to keep safe at sea and respect the water. There will also be free life-jacket clinics so you can bring along your life jacket, make sure it’s in proper order and learn how to check it yourself.

There will also be plenty of family fun with games and welly-throwing! The souvenir shop will be open to get all manner of RNLI goodies.

Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard unit will also be present on the day and there will be a special visit from a rescue helicopter.

All this fun will be taking place from 11.30 – 4.00 on Sunday the 4th of September at the Dun Laoghaire RNLI station at the harbour.
