3. The Garden Bird Survey – Starts 5th December
Get Involved – Birdwatch Ireland are conducting their annual Garden Bird Survey.
Between December and February each year they ask members of the public to keep note of the number of each bird species visiting their garden every week. They also want note of the size of your garden, if there’s any kinds of food being offered to the birds and so on. Taking part is fun, easy and an ideal way to get to know your garden birds better. It’s great to get kids interested and involved with the wildlife in our own back gardens. To get involved visit their website and download the survey.
